Sonic Unleashed / Sonic World Adventure
Game Brief
Sonic Unleashed is a new multplatform Sonic title. It'll be released on Nintendo Wii, X-Box 360, Sony PS3 and PS2. Early screenshots and gameplay videos show the game is going to be a 2.5D adventure incorporating multiple paths similar to old-school Sonic titles. A new speed guage which includes a 'Ring Energy' meter suggests the collecting of rings now increases Sonic's speed. Screenshots of the game's possible opening sequence suggest a new enemy (a large monster modelled in a similar vain to the Iblis). The screenshots also appear to show Dr. Robotnik capturing Sonic and using a machine to extract Sonic's Chaos Energy. However, all these observations are just speculation at the time of writing.
