Is Dragonball a Sonic the Hedgehog "Rip-Off"?

I made this article to state a very obvious point which hardly anyone has picked up on. This argument is not a chance to say Sonic is better than Dragonball. In fact Dragonball came about in 1989 and the Super Saiyans were only introduced in 1990. Sonic however came about in 1991 and Super Sonic made his first appearance in 1992. So if anybody ripped off anyone then it was probably Sonic ripping off Dragonball. This information was aquired from David Lyston. Here are the points of comparison I have come up with to prove my point:

There are 7 Dragonballs of phenomenal power scattered all over the world. Very similar to the Chaos Emeralds... This picture is taken from "Showdown - The Beginning of the End" by Bluehog.

When a Saiyan goes into battle they can turn into Super Saiyans by use of their own anger or free will. When they turn their hair goes yellow and gets longer. But wait, when Sonic turns into Super Sonic he goes yellow and his spines grow. Also in the Fleetway comic series whenever Sonic got angry he would turn Super. He used to be able to turn Super by his own free will.

Finally the Saiyan's can use different levels of power. They can become a Super Saiyan 2 and 3. This is also similar to Sonic who can turn Hyper aswell as Super...
